HISTORY OF MOTOR YACHT FULL MOON Designed and built by renowned shipwright, Henry C. Grebe, the wonderful 65-foot antique classic motor yacht, Full Moon was first launched from his Chicago shipyard in 1949. Grebe, father and son, built only the finest vessels from seasoned materials - all custom orders. In addition to Anita Rossi’s 65-foot Full Moon, the yard also built Elizabeth Taylor's 85 foot yacht.
General Boat Company purchased the yacht in 1998 and Anita Rossi, President of the Company, brought the yacht to Newburyport from Baltimore, where the Full Moon had been the most sought after private charter yacht in Baltimore Harbor.
The Full Moon has had a complete refit since its purchase and its graceful elegance and stately grand beauty crosses into the 21st Century with full United States Coast Guard certification for up to 49 passengers and a crew of six. The Full Moon currently hosts holiday events, family reunions, weddings, intracoastal tours, and corporate events during the winter months in Southern Florida and returns to New England to allow families, clubs and corporations to take advantage of Boston's historic skylines, Tall Ships, and Fireworks for weddings, parties and special events during the Spring, Summer and Fall months.
The vessel has appeared in Seacoast Bride, Lattitudes and Attitudes, Soundings, Navigator, NESN's Port of Call, and on the Liz Walker show during the Boston Parade of Lights.
The Captain and Crew of Full Moon invite you and yours aboard for weddings, corporate events, bereavements, sunset cruises, or other special occassions you might be planning! Please call Anita Rossi at 617-622-3421 to arrange a visit or to reserve a date.
Along with a stunning bow, there is an indoor salon, an elegant covered aft-deck, and a charming lower deck astern creating a serene atmosphere. Sit under the stars after the sun sets or enjoy a Sunday morning jazz brunch.
Just imagine leaning against our varnished rails with family and friends,
on the sparkling sea!
Let's make it fun, stress-free and within your budget!!! -- Anita Rossi, President
